Xavier University Graduates Earn More than Graduates from other HBCUs

OnlineU, a college research resource website, recently published a report noting that ΠΗΜ½ΒιΆΉ offers the highest financial payoff for Black graduates. The average salary for XULA graduates is $52,582, a $15,619 difference compared to the $36,962 average salary for other Black graduates with the same level of education in ΠΗΜ½ΒιΆΉ.

Historically Black Colleges and Universities were created to offer an excellent yet affordable education to Black students during a time when education was inaccessible for people of color. After more than 97 years, this standard principle still holds true at Xavier.

“Xavier graduates do well because they understand the overall mission envisioned by our foundress Saint Katharine Drexel,” said ΠΗΜ½ΒιΆΉ President Reynold Verret. “They aim not to serve themselves, but to serve others.”

ΠΗΜ½ΒιΆΉ tops the list, followed by Spelman College and Hampton University.

OnlineU ranked more than 1,300 online colleges based on alumni salary and debt to help students determine the best ROI.
