What is The Gateway?
The Gateway is a two month entrepreneurship training program powered by the Entrepreneurship Institute at ΠΗΜ½ΒιΆΉ ("XULA"). It’s designed to help turn ideas into real, thriving businesses.
Through design thinking, the Business Model Canvas, and one-on-one coaching, participants gain the skills, support, and structure to bring their innovations to life. Participants have the opportunity to receive stipends up to $1,000.
We’re opening the door for students from XULA, Dillard University, Southern University New Orleans, and entrepreneurs across the greater New Orleans community to take the first steps to confidently into the world of planning and launching a business.

The XULA Gateway’s mission is to empower emerging entrepreneurs from Xavier University and neighboring HBCUs through inclusive, hands-on business training, mentorship, and access to resources, transforming innovative ideas into scalable ventures.

The Gateway Curriculum
Over two months, participants will engage in hands-on sessions designed to guide them from idea to launch. Our curriculum is rooted in design thinking and the Business Model Canvas, with opportunities for mentorship and real-world application. Participants may receive stipends of up to $1,000 as they complete the program.
